Information about the Division:

Pediatric cardiologists provide health care services for a full range of pediatric cardiovascular disorders. They offer a complete range of diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiologic studies, including exercise testing, Holter monitoring and nuclear cardiology testing, and prenatal cardiac evaluation.

CHKD has a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory that is used for the diagnosis and treatment of children with life-threatening congenital heart defects. The lab is equipped with a high-speed, high-resolution digital imaging system providing sharper, clearer two-dimensional images which allows for the performance of more delicate and extensive corrective procedures inside the heart and without the need for open-heart surgery.
