The infectious disease specialists provide inpatient and outpatient services for children with acute and chronic pediatric infections, fever syndromes, immune deficiency syndromes, and cystic fibrosis.

Dr. Fisher has co-authored a textbook on pediatric infectious diseases Moffet’s Textbook of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, 4th ed. Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins, Philadelphia, 2005). Dr. Cunnion has an NIH grant to study the complement system and its interaction with Staphylococcus aureus. Dr. Sass is the only one of the Infectious Diseases physicians who sees patients with cystic fibrosis.
